Ardacon 2018

#1

This is for the LotR SBG fans in our group:

https://www.ardaconsbg.com/about

I habe been following the Ardacon event for some time now and it is smashing to see the community and support for this game.

It will be held in Manchester in August 2018. Full event tickets for spectators (non-players) is only £10. I am honestly considering to go. Would anyone be interested to join me?

@Ben: Manchester is not awfully far away from Newcastle, right?

I game because I am happy- I am happy because I game - it's a vicious cycle!

Chris, sounds good to me! I have bought a ticket as spectator so far, but I am happy to upgrade to playing!

It will be the newer rules though, ie The Hobbit SBG.
I watched a few more battle reports lately and the main difference between the old LotR SBG and The Hobbit SBG really is the sequence of play: Priority, I move - you move, I shoot - you shoot, fight (yes, just the one fight - so more stream lined). And it brings in faint and piercing strike which makes fights more tactical. Shooting has been nerved a bit as bowmen who did up to half their movement get a -1 to hit now (ie hitting on 5+ if moved instead of 4+)
Some stats of Monster changed as well apparently, but other than that I would be happy to get our arses handed over at the tournament :-)

I game because I am happy- I am happy because I game - it's a vicious cycle!
