Hmmm, I already caught some feedback on this regarding prices. Given ebay prices presently, there may not be much difference. Time will tell if this delivers on opening this game up to a wider audience once more. The upside is that it a least keeps the game alive.

Not sure if these have been seen already but I am very interested in the Lake Town houses which could be great for SAGA, Frostgrave, Mordheim etc.

Slightly confusing - looks like some Hobbit / LOTR stuff has sidled over to FW...

But the new battle book for The Hobbit is publicised on the general new Warhammer Community site:

For some reason this has passed me unnoticed. I really welcome that LotR gets a bit of a revamp, but the asking price for some of the Dwarves are eye watering. I might just stay with me old Misty Mountains / Moria stuff. Although Dain on a big boar looks tempting...

A slow drip drip of interesting Hobbit models from FW. Pricey (of course) but definitely glad that Tolkien is not kaput.

Did anyone try buying the new plastic GW Lake Town houses? They have been out of stock every single time I've looked and scalpers on eBay are putting them at double the RRP. I think they are gorgeous and wanted them as Mordheim / Inquisimunda terrain.

I was just looking at Dwarf/Gondor models but GW don't seem to have the full range back and eBay prices are nuts.

Forge World Open Day 2017 took place yesterday. The Hobbit / Lord of the Rings gets new support as well:

"Over in the worlds of Middle-earth™, there’s some exciting new stuff in store. Firstly, we’ve got the Gundabad Orc upgrade set. This kit allows you to modify your Gundabad Orc Swordsmen, Gundabad Orc Spearmen, and the Gundabad Orc Captain with new weapons, helmets and even a banner."

Also, a new release at FW is Bard's Family. Not really something I was looking forward to, but at least there is some ongoing love for the range:

I'm kind of hoping that they are just filling in the five armies / hobbit missing entries before we get some love for SPG relaunch later this year or early next year.
